Celebrate local, resilient agriculture with Friends of the Petaluma River at the Transhumance Festival. Come watch as the herd heads up D Street from the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds to Steamer Landing Park at 10am. Then come meet the sheep, enjoy local, sustainable food from Tacos don Pepe, and dance along with the Bloomfield Bluegrass Band. The event will feature local producers and vendors as well as land managers with educational and fun activities for all ages. Demonstrations on sheep sheering, scything and more will be featured throughout the Festival.
