The world is fragmenting before our eyes as it is becomes more and more obvious that social capital matters now more than ever. At Aqus Community Foundation and Aqus Café, we focus on the first conversation—turning strangers into friends through community dinners that strengthen Petaluma’s social fabric.

Over the years, we’ve hosted themed dinners for blacksmiths, language speakers, camino walkers, retired educators, photographers, mental health professionals, PTA members, nonprofit leaders, service alumni, and many more. Each gathering centers on shared interests and real conversation. This is where connection forms—and community grows. Take a look at this month’s offerings.

We invite you to be part of this tapestry. If there’s a theme or interest you’d like to see around the community table, please fill out the suggestion form and let us know. Together, we can create more opportunities where first conversations lead to lasting connections.
