Social Advocates for Youth – Volunteers Needed

On December 7 community members across Sonoma County will spend One Cold Night outside to advocate and raise awareness for the youth that spend many nights.

Social Advocates for Youth is in critical need of volunteer sign-ups for their One Cold Night event happening on December 7th. While December feels like an eternity away, planning for this event is ramping up and we would love to have a committed volunteer base on board as soon as possible!

One Cold Night is a county-wide movement of individuals, known as Sleepers, who accept the challenge to sleep outside for one night so that homeless and at-risk youth don’t have to.  Every night, 515 youth ages 12-25 experience homelessness alone in our community, one of the highest rates per capita in the United States. In addition to volunteers needed for our Sleeper sites, we also have event volunteer positions available for our One Cold Gathering candlelight vigil, which will take place that evening before our sleepers bus out to their individual sleeping sites. Visit to learn more.

You can sign up for event volunteer shifts here:

Please join us in supporting this event, and share these links with your extended networks! It is so critical that we fill these spots in order for our event to run smoothly. The money we raise for One Cold Night will directly help us meet our goal of getting youth off the street and into safe housing.
