Title IX at 50: We Need It As Much As Ever

January 22 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

AAUW Petaluma invites you to join us in a candid conversation about Title IX.  Find out what it is, what it protects and why it’s in danger. SF Giants Broadcaster Amy Gutierrez will be our host in a conversation with three experts in Title IX.  Our panelists include Maha Ibrahim, Staff Lawyer for Equal Rights Advocates, Elizabeth Kristen, Director of Gender Equity and LGBT Rights Program at Legal Aid at Work and Kim Turner, Director of the Gender Equity Initiative at Coaching Corps. Sign up for the link to the program at AAUWpetaluma.com.

2022 marks 50 years since the passage of Title IX, a landmark civil rights law prohibiting sex discrimination in education.  AAUW was not only instrumental to the creation and passage of Title IX in 1972, but the organization remains a fierce advocate of the law.
