Playing around the Bay Area for over 3 years, the Rivertown Trio combines heart, creativity, and veteran musicianship to produce a beautiful, rich, and unique sound. Their well-chosen songs are mostly in the genres of country rock, Americana, and roots music, done with enticingly beautiful, well-crafted 3-part harmonies. They all do lead singing. Their shows are captivating, interesting, fun, and leave you wanting more.
The members Gary Vogensen (lead guitar, vocals, harmonica) and Russ Gauthier (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, vocals), toured with New Riders of the Purple Sage for more than a decade and have played with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mike Bloomfield, Etta James, Commander Cody, Elvin Bishop, and many more. Julie Bernard (vocals, rhythm guitar, percussion), their band leader, has played for over 9 years with various local bands and brings her talent, warmth, and enthusiasm to the trio. Their chemistry is exciting, and just plain works.
