Rebuilding Together Petaluma: Our April Workday is on!!!

Dear RTP Friends, please join us in collaboration with ReLeaf Petaluma and the city of Petaluma to bring an April Workday event that will benefit everyone.

This year, we are not going to let Covid keep us down.

This April, we will bring our talent and service to the great outdoors, where we can practice safe distancing and help our neighbors and community in need, even help the Earth.

On Saturday, April 9, 2022, we will partner with ReLeaf Petaluma, recipient of a CalFire grant, to plant 150 native trees along the paths of Wiseman Park.

There will be plenty of work for everyone regardless of skill levels.

• CalFire will provide the $$$
• ReLeaf will provide the trees and direction
• City of Petaluma will dig holes and provide irrigation
• And RTP will deliver and plant the trees.

Each tree will need a gopher basket, placement in the hole, backfill, mulch, and water. Don’t worry, experts will be on site to provide training and guidance.

We need volunteers to assist with Setup, Registration, and Lunch delivery. We will have 150 Volunteers at seven sites around the park. That’s a lot of burritos.

We will need extra hands and backs to move trees from trucks to holes, and to clean up, rake, and beautify afterward.

We will also need seven drivers with trucks or trailers to pick up and deliver trees from the city storage yard to the park early that morning.

There will be plenty of work for everyone.
