Weds. May 27th at 6pm
Join a team of activists, conservationists, biologists, film-makers and local leaders to learn more about our backyard paradise and how it’s being threatened by pollution, habitat loss and giveaways to private industry.
This week we’ll hear from David McGuire, Founder of the shark and marine conservation nonprofit “Shark Stewards”. A marine biologist, David is a National Geographic Explorer and a research associate at the California Academy of Sciences. Shark Stewards is committed to the formation and protection of habitat and marine ecosystems under Marine Protected Areas from California to SE Asia.
Topics to be discussed include; contaminated water at Pt. Reyes National Seashore, runoff and threats to marine life. We will also continue our conversation addressing the NPS’s draft plan for Pt. Reyes and what you can do to protect and restore the scenic and natural beauty of Point Reyes National Seashore for generations to come.
