Learn how members ages 50+ and volunteers enjoy vital connections and services that support aging well in community.
As pandemic health orders change, the Village Network of Petaluma has resumed offering rides to medical appointments – and now encourages in-person friendly (masked) visits indoors and outdoors. Members and volunteers providing services must be fully vaccinated. The Village has created new ways for members and volunteers to connect with each other online in wellness programs, interest groups, educational and social events. Face-to-face volunteer rides for members are opening up. Also grocery shopping, prescriptions pick-ups, errands, phone friend match-ups, and tech support.
The non-profit hosts a Get to Know the Village meeting at 10:00 – 11:00 am each month. It is an overview for potential members (ages 50+), their loved ones, and volunteers of all ages. RSVP to info@VillageNetworkofPetaluma.org, or call 707-776-6055 to receive the Zoom meeting link or phone # to call in. As conditions change we will hold these monthly meetings in person.
As pandemic guidelines allow, we will gradually resume offering our usual in-person programs such as driving, friendly visits, minor home repairs, and Med Pals.
The Village Network of Petaluma is a non-profit membership organization created to empower adults 50+ to live active, vibrant, and connected lives in our own homes as we age. We are part of a national movement, with 250+ groups formed since 2004.
