Climate Chat: Smoky Skies and Air Quality Monitoring

December 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

- $10

You’ve recently seen it, smelled it, maybe tasted it – the smoke from the Camp Fire. Fortunately, new technology is becoming available to enable anyone to measure air quality at their school, house, neighborhood, inside – outside, virtually anywhere. And when we can measure something we are better positioned to make improvements.

Field monitoring expert Tim Dye will share both global and local case studies from his work around the world, demonstrating:
-How new monitoring technologies work and make air quality more tangible and understandable on a hyperlocal level
-How air quality improvements will help climate change
-How you can start measuring air quality in your backyard

Noon-1 PM in the WORK Library. Feel free to bring a bag lunch.
Climate Chats are brought to you free by WORK Petaluma.
